Hello! My name is Danielle and I have a Bachelor of Game Design and Development and a Diploma of Digital Media Design, both from Torrens University (Billy Blue College of Design).
Below you’ll find some examples of projects I’ve made during my courses at university and in my free time.

After studying the art style of Hades, I attempted to replicate it and create my own character, utilising classic greek characterstics such as Poseidon's Trident and a laurel leaf crown.
Character design isn't my forte, but I had a lot of fun creating this character and expanding my art skills.
This is a contemporary interpretation of Green Tara, the Buddhist goddess of compassion and protection. Set within an endless pond, the goddess sits upon a lotus flower, exploring the balance between strength and serenity, action and contemplation.
This work explores the tension between vastness and confinement, using the figure of a fallen or weary angel to embody emotional isolation. Positioned within a darkened interior, the figure is physically grounded yet mentally distant, turned inward despite the expansive night sky unfolding beyond the window.
My favourite part about creating this was learning to use different colours to create an environment that is mostly composed of black and dark greys, while still making the scene clear and visible.

This was inspired by scroll artwork that is often made with ink and depicts classic asian landscapes and creatures/myths. Dragons are my favourite mythical creatures, especially asian style dragons. Characterised by their serpentine, wingless bodies, Eastern dragons usually represent elements such as water and earth, unlike western dragons which are often depicted aggressively breathing fire.

When I was three years old, I started dancing, beginning a life of creativity and passion for a variety of artistic areas including playing guitar, drawing and painting, and digital art. I credit my discipline, drive, dedication, and time management to my years of training in tap, ballet, musical theatre, and Irish dancing. My love of music and creating art with traditional materials has led to my desire to be a game designer, combining my love of art and skills with digital art software.
I’ve always loved to travel, and I am always looking for opportunities to experience new places and cultures. I have travelled to Fiji, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan in my lifetime and have enjoyed many nights camping and road tripping with my family.
I would love to learn more about coding and programming as it isn’t a subject that has been taught a lot in my courses, I find it very interesting and I believe it is best to know every aspect of game development, not only because it can help to understand each aspect better, but I also love to learn new things and enjoy building my skills as a game designer.
